Dress Up Your Hot dogs!

Dressing up hot dogs can be a fun and creative way to add new flavors and textures to this classic food. There are lots of ways to dress up hot dogs and make them more flavorful and interesting.

One of my favorite way to dress up my hot dogs is to top them with a meaty sauce. I call it a Hot dog with meat sauce.

How do make Hotdog with Meat Sauce?

Here is a simple recipe for hot dogs with meat sauce:

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 pcs. hot dogs
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 pc. bouillon cube
  • 4-5 pieces of hot dog buns

for meat sauce:

  • 500g ground beef
  • 2 small onion
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 1/8 cup bell pepper, finely diced 
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. hot paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste


for dressing:

  • mayonnaise
  • ketchup
  • prepared mustard
  • cheese
Instructions:

1. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic and cook until the onions are translucent.

2. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking up the meat with a wooden spoon as it cooks.

3. Add the diced bell pepper, tomato sauce, water, Italia seasoning, ground cayenne pepper, hot paprika, salt, and pepper to taste. Stir well to combine.

4. Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer the meat sauce for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.

5. While the meat sauce is simmering, cook the hot dogs according to the package instructions.

6. To assemble, place a cooked hot dog in each bun and spoon the meat sauce on top. Serve immediately.

This recipe makes enough meat sauce for 4 hot dogs, but you can easily double or triple the recipe to serve a larger crowd. You can also customize the toppings to your liking, adding shredded cheese, diced onions, or other condiments as desired.
